LISTEN NOW: Adele discusses the importance of a positive mental health space

This year’s event will feature artists, athletes, and experts sharing honest conversation about their personal experiences with mental health in a continued effort to raise awareness and support. Because talk saves lives.

One of the many celebrity guests joining this year’s broadcast is Adele. In the past, the 34-year-old has opened up about her own mental health and what she does to make sure it remains well taken care of, like working out.

“[Exercise has] definitely changed my life because stress used to rule my life, she shared with Audacy during a pervious interview. “I work out to really hone all my energy… to make sure it’s not coming out sideways in any way.”

She also takes care of herself by listening to her body and not putting herself in situations she knows she’ll be uncomfortable. “If I’m ever in a situation where I don’t want to do something, then I just won’t do it anymore,” she said. “Because the repercussions of that will be my anxiety, a panic attack, or something like that.”

She continued, “The minute something comes up that makes you feel uncomfortable you have to like nip it in the bud, and talk about it there and then. Otherwise, it just builds up and builds up.”
