Pete Alonso had a harrowing experience on Sunday, revealing that he was in a brutal car accident in which he estimates his vehicle rolled over about three times.
Alonso, who said it was a near-death experience, managed to walk away from the accident just fine, which may be a miracle considering how things turned out.

Alonso’s wife, Haley, posted a video of the aftermath of the crash on her Instagram page Monday which shows the damage of Alonso’s truck, knocked over on its side.
On her Instagram, Haley wrote she was actually driving behind her husband when he was T-boned by a speeding car that ran a red light.
“I screamed for him just hoping that he’d be able to answer me,” she said in her caption. “He said he was ok and was going to kick out the windshield to escape since he was trapped. He got himself out and to everyone’s shock, only had a single scratch on his arm.
“It’s a miracle that he’s safe after this horrifying of an accident. I thought I watched my husband die in front of me and I will never forget that feeling.”
Alonso told reporters on Monday he had to kick out the windshield before thanking Ford for their “great engineering.”
Haley concluded her post saying, “Please do not drive distracted and wear your seatbelt.”
