Perhaps some good news amidst the Yankees’ COVID-19 issues: Billye Aaron, the widow of Hank Aaron, has tested negative for the virus, according to SNY’s Andy Martino.
Mrs. Aaron’s test was a rapid test, and she will be re-tested on Monday as a precaution, according to Martino’s source.
Billye Aaron, 84, was on the field at Tuesday’s All-Star Game as MLB honored her late husband, Hall of Famer Hank Aaron, in a ceremony at Coors Field. Mrs. Aaron was escorted onto the field by Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, who is one of the six Yankees to have tested positive for COVID-19 this week, and they stood next to each other during the tribute to Hank – with Judge at one point patting her shoulder.
Judge was one of six Yankees overall and five in the last two days to be placed on the COVID IL after testing positive for the virus following the All-Star break.
