(670 The Score) White Sox left-hander Carlos Rodon completed a no-hitter Wednesday night against the Indians, striking out seven hitters and allowing just one baserunner in an 8-0 win at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Rodon took a perfect game into the ninth inning but hit Indians catcher Roberto Perez in the foot with one out in the inning. He completed the no-hitter against Cleveland leadoff man Jordan Luplow, who hit a hard ground ball to third base that Yoan Moncada fielded cleanly and threw to first base.
The No. 4 overall pick to the White Sox in 2014, Rodon was non-tendered last offseason. He had battled numerous injuries and underwent Tommy John surgery in 2019, left to earn a spot on the roster this spring.
Rodon not only earned his spot with the White Sox, but now he's cemented his place in franchise history.
