(670 The Score) Bulls star guard Zach LaVine has found himself in the middle of another COVID-19 situation.
LaVine has been placed in the COVID-19 health and safety protocols as he competes for Team USA, the organization announced Monday. LaVine won’t travel with the team Monday to Tokyo as the start of the Olympics loom, but Team USA is hopeful that he can join the team later in the week.
LaVine previously contracted COVID-19 and missed about three weeks in late April and early May while the NBA season wound down. At that time, LaVine had taken one dose of a two-dose vaccine when he contracted COVID-19, NBC Sports Chicago previously reported.
LaVine started and scored 13 points in Team USA’s exhibition win against Spain on Sunday.
