During a game, Monday night between the Houston Rockets and the Charlotte Hornets, Rockets center Christian Wood rocked an unexpecting fan with an errant pass that hit her square in the head.

With only a few seconds remaining in the first half, Woods, who had just gotten a defensive rebound, was looking to get the offense going with an outlet pass. Instead of finding one of his teammates, Josh Christopher-- he found the head of a fan walking by the courtside seats, three-rows deep.
To everyone in the crowd's relief, the fan shook it off and indicated that she was ok. Being a good sport about the whole incident, Woods offered the fan-free tickets to a Rockets game if she ever wants them and hoped that she was ok.
I hope she's OK," he told reporters after the game. "If she needs tickets to a game, I got her."
While this is a nice gesture, one may ask, if the game Monday night was in Charlotte, doesn't that mean she is a Hornets fan? In the off chance that she is a Rockets fan, I highly doubt she would want to travel over 1,000 miles to watch a sorry team that has one of the worst rosters in the Western Conference.
The bad pass by Wood must have been a sign of what was to come in the second half, getting steamrolled by the Hornets 123-99. All and all, a nice gesture by Woods, but an offer the fan may just refuse to save herself some time, money and the thought of having to sit through a game featuring this young and inexperienced Rockets squad.
