One of the top remaining NBA free agents is reportedly off the board.
Former Warriors small forward Kelly Oubre Jr. has reached an agreement on a contract with the Charlotte Hornets, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The deal is for a reported two years and $26M, per Charania.
Oubre, 25, is coming off a roller-coaster season in his lone year in Golden State. The former Kansas Jayhawks standout got off to a sluggish start playing alongside Steph Curry and Draymond Green on the Dubs, but he seemed to find his form by midseason.
However, a late-season wrist injury hampered him down the stretch, when the Warriors, powered by Curry's brilliance, mounted a furious run to reach the postseason. It was reported the Warriors were open to bringing Oubre back as a reserve, but he seemed to suggest he was looking for a starting role.
Drafted 15th overall in 2015, Oubre was coming into his own with the Washington Wizards when they shipped him to the Phoenix Suns in 2018-19. He was with the Suns for the virus-interrupted 2019 campaign before joining the Warriors in the three-way deal that sent Chris Paul from Oklahoma City to Phoenix.
For his career, Oubre is averaging 11.5 points per game on 43% shooting in 25 minutes.
