When speaking with his co-host Eddie Gonzalez, Durant proposed that instead of just constantly comparing the two, trying to figure out which one of them is the better player and had a greater impact on the game, we should start viewing them as different because greatness is not exclusive to just one player.

“No comparison to what Michael Jordan did it’s just different,” Durant said on James. “It’s not like Jordan’s one and you [James] two. Ya’ll both are like something we’ve never seen before. Both unique, sitting in your own different area of greatness.”

Durant, who is more than familiar with James having played against 'The King' on a number of occasions, doesn't seem to get why people keep comparing the two since they will never play against each other.

"Why the hell are we always comparing these guys like they going to play against each other?” Durant asked. “MJ will never play in a game against LeBron in a game so there’s no need for us to compare their careers it’s just what you prefer.”

Fair point from Durant? I'd agree. The only way any of these debates could ever come to an end is if we travel back in time to Jordan's prime and have him play against James.

Even though Durant has his gripes about the MJ-LeBron debate, at the end of the day, the 12-time All-Star has nothing but praise for both players.

“I think LeBron will be in that same realm,” said Durant. “… There’s, like, no comparison to what Michael Jordan did. It’s just different. You know what I’m saying? … Y’all both are something we never seen before. You know, both unique, both sitting in your own areas of greatness.”
