Ray Allen has been erased from Celtics history — at least on Kevin Garnett’s Instagram page.

The Hall of Fame forward cropped out Allen when he shared a photo Sunday of four members of the Celtics who played in the 2011 All-Star Game : Garnett, Allen, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo. Though the crop is actually well-executed, Allen’s omission is still glaring.

There’s been bad blood between Allen and his former Celtics compadres ever since the sharp-shooter left in free agency to join the rival Heat in 2012. At the time, Allen’s role on the Celtics was decreasing, with Doc Rivers inserting Avery Bradley into the lineup more often. Still, his departure irked the other members of the Big Three.

Back in 2017, Garnett explained why he didn’t invite Allen to his team reunion. “The situation with Ray is very sensitive,” Garnett said. “I think when we all talked about doing this reunion tour, we was talking about guys that we consider loyal, part of this group. Just being honest.”

Allen, for his part, says he doesn’t hold hard feelings towards Garnett or anybody with whom he played in Boston. Garnett, Allen and Pierce are all in the Hall of Fame. They may not be on speaking terms, but memories from their championship run are indelible.
