At the same time as it's looking increasing likely that Victor Oladipo will be dealt at the trade deadline, it is looking more and more unlikely that certain suitors will make a move for Oladipo given his market.

New York, which has been reportedly reluctant to part with its many draft assets for a midseason acquisition this year, is “reluctant” to offer a “premium package” for the Houston standout, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. The Heat are in the same camp, reportedly hesitant to deal away young talent or draft picks for Oladipo, who is very likely on the move from a Rockets team that just snapped a 20-game losing streak.

Oladipo is averaging 21.2 points per game in 20 games with the Rockets so far this season, shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 32 percent from downtown. He was part of the four-team trade that brought James Harden to Brooklyn earlier this season.

The 28-year-old Oladipo is a two-time All-Star who is averaging 20.8 points per game this season, his best mark since the 2017-18 season, his first All-Star campaign.

While New York and Miami appear to be out of the running for Oladipo, he is still expected to be traded before the deadline, according to Wojnarowski. Teams in the running will likely part ways with young talent or first-round draft picks, something the Knicks have been motivated to hang on to in their efforts to maintain their rebuild process and not sacrifice their future for a playoff push this year, despite a surprising 21-22 record.
