Luka Doncic does not throw down many dunks, so it was quite shocking on Tuesday night when he posterized Dwight Howard.
The Dallas Mavericks star was trending on Twitter late Tuesday evening after completing a vicious putback slam over the head of Howard in the first quarter against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Spencer Dinwiddie had attempted a baseline 3-pointer but missed the mark, hitting the front of the rim.
Doncic was standing near the top of the key when Dinwiddie released and began running toward the basket. After the ball hit the rim Doncic leapt and got above Howard to grab the ball with his right hand and slam in through the net.
Doncic has been subject to much criticism this year, particularly his conditioning, but it was quite the display of athleticism on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, the dunk left poor Dwight Howard subject to some roasting on Twitter.
