DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had surgery on his non-throwing shoulder, head coach Mike McCarthy announced Tuesday at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

McCarthy said the team has "no concern" about the procedure and that Prescott is "doing well." The quarterback is expected to be a full participant in the team's offseason program.

Prescott has dealt with a variety of injuries over the past two seasons. In 2020, Prescott suffered a compound right ankle fracture, and in 2021 he suffered a strained muscle in his throwing shoulder and then a strained right calf.

The good news is this latest ailment appears to be minor and it shouldn't hold Prescott back this offseason, unlike the last offseason when he was still rehabbing his surgically repaired ankle.
