When Collin asked Samuel how he would feel if Garoppolo was traded away from San Francisco, Samuel seemed fine with the idea and while it may take some time, Lance can be the guy.

"[Garoppolo] was a great leader to Trey — showed him how to practice… I feel like once Trey gets a really good glimpse of what it takes to prepare to be a starter in this league — I feel like he’ll be a superstar,” Samuel said.

Garoppolo faced a lot of criticism this season in route to the NFC Championship game but had the full support of Samuel when his performance in the playoffs would even make the biggest Jimmy G supporters blush. Now that there will likely be a change of the guard, the dynamic offensive threat will have his full support behind Lance.

If we saw what we saw out of Lance this season, there is a lot of room for improvement. Lance appeared in six games, starting in two this season, logging 603 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions through the air, and 168 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
