It has been a rough season for the New York Giants but what happened during the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Washington Football Team may have been the icing on the cake of an embarrassing season.

Backed up inside their own 5-yard line, the Giants decided to run a QB sneak with journeyman backup Jake Fromm — twice — including one on third-and-9.

Obviously, the Giants did not convert and were forced to punt but it was perhaps one of the most flabbergasting decisions made over the course of a forgettable season.

Naturally, the play-call was subject to derision, ridicule and plenty of snark from Giants fans and beyond on social media.

While offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens is the one who calls the plays, Judge will be the one who has to answer for this after the game.

The Giants head coach is among those who could be on the hot seat, although reports in recent weeks have signaled that he is considered to be “safe.”

We’ll see if the Giants decide to change course.
