It's been a busy offseason for Mitch Trubisky on the football front, moving from the Chicago Bears to the Buffalo Bills after the latter signed him to a one-year, $2.5 million deal. But all of that pales in comparison to the importance of Trubisky's 4th of July weekend, one full of celebration as the 26-year-old officially tied the knot with partner Hillary Gallagher — now Hillary Trubisky — a pilates instructor.
Both members of the happy couple shared images to their social media accounts of the festivities in what looked liked a weekend filled with love and surrounded by family and friends.
"Love you forever Mrs. Trubisky 💙," wrote the Bills QB in his caption. "Incredible weekend with family and friends. So grateful to everyone who came to celebrate with Hillary and I!"
Hillary's caption was simpler — "My husband🤍 7.3.21" — and was set in Cleveland, Ohio.
On Tuesday, she posted pictures of the newly wedded couple in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico — a nice getaway before it's back to the grind of the football season.
According to Page Six, Mitch and Hillary were first linked in early 2019 and have since become a well-known couple due to frequent images shared on their social media accounts.
Trubisky, the second overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, is now the backup to Josh Allen after an up-and-down career in Chicago. A 2018 Pro Bowler, Trubisky then struggled to repeat that success and eventually lost out on the starting job for a time during the 2020 season. He started for the Bears in the Wild Card Round against the New Orleans Saints and lost, but despite his poor performance, he was named the "NVP" (Nickelodeon Valuable Player) in the kid-friendly broadcast of the game. We have to think that the NVP falls just a bit short in terms of his greatest accomplishments of 2021, with his marriage just barely topping it.
