Now that his playing days are done, Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III is left with two full-time jobs—one as an ESPN analyst and a second as the father of three daughters. Even with state and local governments rolling back COVID restrictions, many of us are still working remotely, which was clearly the case for Griffin during Thursday’s NFL Live.

Back in Bristol, host Laura Rutledge noticed the former Ravens quarterback sipping from an unusual-looking glass, which RG3 quickly identified as his daughter’s. “We have some princesses,” said Griffin, turning the cup around to reveal images of Jasmine and Snow White. “Got to show some love to the girls. Girl dad!”

Griffin’s wife, Grete (a college All-American and former Olympic hopeful in the heptathlon), provided some backstory, claiming her husband asked for a glass of water, not knowing it would appear on television.

The amusing segment ended with Rutledge acknowledging Griffin’s impressive brand synergy, repping ESPN’s parent company, Disney, with two of its most beloved characters.

While Griffin’s NFL career didn’t turn out quite the way he hoped (he was never the same following a knee injury suffered in the final game of his rookie season), the 32-year-old has made a seamless transition into sports media, impressing as a studio analyst while also contributing to ESPN’s college football coverage as a color commentator alongside play-by-play announcer Mark Jones.
