In his first game for the Chiefs last week, Hunt led running backs in snap percentage (45%), beating out Samaje Perine (40%) and Carson Steele (18%). That will be the same threesome in the backfield this week and after fumbling in back-to-back weeks, I expect Steele to lose out on playing time, thrusting Hunt into a more prominent role. Hunt took 14 carries for 69 rushing yards and a touchdown in last week’s win at the Chargers. He saw two of the three running back opportunities in the red zone last week and I expect him to see the lion’s share there this week.
Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster ATTD (+450)
With Rashee Rice out, I expect Smith-Schuster to get some more opportunities out of the slot this week. His snap counts have been trending up (from 22% and 20% in Weeks 1 and 2 to 55% and 52% in Weeks 3 and 4) and had a receiving TD back in Week 3 (and another TD opportunity back in Week 1 that he dropped). There’s a designed pick play that the Chiefs have run for JSS near the goal line and I wouldn’t be shocked if they run it back if they have the opportunity once again.
