Chasing triple-doubles in the NBA is always exciting, especially when the league’s top all-around performers take the court. For Friday’s slate, we’re focusing on three players who have the potential to rack up stats across the board: Nikola Jokic, Josh Giddey, and Josh Hart. Jokic continues to be a walking triple-double machine, Giddey has been stuffing the stat sheet with increased opportunity, and Hart remains an underrated value play in this market. Let’s dive into the best triple-double bets for February 28, all available at BetMGM.
Nuggets C Nikola Jokic vs. Pistons (+110, BetMGM)
Jokic is averaging 34.3 points, 11.6 rebounds and 10.6 assists on the second half of back-to-backs this season and delivered 37 points, nine rebounds and eight assists against the Pistons in this exact situation back in December. Jokic has logged a triple-double in 12 of his last 20 starts and missed out by just one stat (either a rebound or assist) in four of those eight contests where he fell short. In that game in December, Joker had 17 rebounding chances and 13 potential assists despite falling short and I love the idea of getting a +110 price tag on this. With 27 triple-doubles, Jokic is nearing his career-high of 29 that he set in 2022-2023 and I think he’ll get one closer to that mark tonight.
Bulls PG Josh Giddey vs. Raptors (+750, BetMGM)
As I described in my player prop picks article, Giddey has been on an absolute tear lately. Averaging 24.3 points, 12.0 rebounds (on 16.5 chances) and 8.0 assists (on 15.8 potential dimes) in 34.3 minutes over his last four games, Giddey should continue to benefit with Nikola Vucevic doubtful and I love his outlook against the Raptors tonight. I think he has a great chance to record his third triple-double of the season tonight. In two previous meetings against Toronto this season, he had 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists (1/31) in 31 minutes and 11 points, nine rebounds and eight assists (12/16) in 24 minutes. In those two contests, he’s averaged 14.0 rebounding chances and 9.5 potential assists, but should see a substantial boost in both categories tonight.
Knicks SF Josh Hart vs. Grizzlies (+950, BetMGM)
Hart has quietly recorded seven triple-doubles on the season, yet consistently gets priced around +1000, which is great news for us. Averaging 14.7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game, Hart routinely plays around 40 minutes a game and consistently fills the box score. He had four points, 10 rebounds (14 chances) and five assists (11 potential assists) in just 27 minutes due to a 143-106 win against the Grizz back on 1/27, but this should be a much closer affair this time around. On the season, Hart averages 16.4 rebounding chances and 9.9 potential assists per game and this should be an up-tempo matchup with plenty of possessions to rack up stats.
