The BetQL model has been absolutely lighting up the NFL over the last two weeks, raking in the profits for subscribers. The model has gone 11-2-0 (85% win) on 5-Star (max value) NFL bets of $100 in the last 14 days, which has netted our readers $784 in pure profit. Let’s see if the model can stay hot tonight for Thursday Night Football.
Spread - Eagles -3.5 (5-Star)
The model is taking the Eagles at -3.5, as it projects them as a -7 favorite in this game at home. That is quite a large difference in the spread line, which is why we have a 5-star play here.
The Washington Commanders will visit the Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC East division clash, and these two top teams represent a huge change from what we usually get on Thursday night’s. Rookie QB Jayden Daniels is pretty much a lock for Rookie of the Year, unless the new Bears OC can unlock the talent of Caleb Williams. Even then, it is probably too late.
The only concern about Daniels, at least in my opinion, is injury. He already hurt himself earlier this season, and while he didn’t miss time, Washington fans have to have had some flashbacks to Robert Griffin lll. They are eerily similar in their numbers and style early in their careers.
Philadelphia seems to have righted their ship after some early struggles, and have now won five straight games to sit at 7-2 after nine games. Despite all of the shade that has been thrown at QB Jalen Hurts, he’s actually been a top-10 signal-caller this season in terms of QBR, sitting at 8th with a 64.3 rating.
We can certainly have a discussion about head coach Nick Sirriani, who is probably being carried by the talent that he has on his team, but at least he seems to have toned down the bone-headed decisions as of late. Running back Saquan Barkley has been a revelation, and it certainly won’t be easy to beat them at home.
Total - Over 48.5 (2-Star)
This is only a 2-star play, so I can’t really recommend it as a best bet, but wanted to share what it did have on the total at least. The model is projecting 50 points in this game, which is less than a field goal off from where it is, so the edge isn’t large. However, it has a slight lean toward the over here at that 48.5 number.
Both Washington and Philly have had some serious issues on defense this season, and we all know that unit is the weakest link on both teams. I already talked about Barkley and Hurts, and how fantastic they have been. Despite my concerns about Daniels, he owns a 71.2 QBR this season, which is good for 4th in the NFL. There is no arguing how great he has been.
