The Eagles and Chiefs are set to square off in New Orleans for a highly anticipated rematch of Super Bowl LVII. Kansas City’s 38-35 victory in that showdown marked the beginning of their current Super Bowl reign, and with a total set at 49.5 for this matchup, we’re likely in for another high-scoring affair. But who will find the endzone first? Here are a few intriguing options.
Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy (+1200, BetMGM)
Kansas City has made it a point to get Worthy involved early and often this postseason, and I expect that trend to continue on February 9. Worthy found the end zone in the AFC Championship against the Bills and was inches away from scoring another before being tackled just short of the goal line against the Texans. He leads the Chiefs in both targets and receptions this postseason, establishing himself as a trusted target for Patrick Mahomes.
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (+1800, BetMGM)
Goedert has been a go-to weapon for Jalen Hurts, hauling in 15 of his 18 postseason targets. The Chiefs have struggled mightily to defend opposing tight ends, giving up the most yards and third-most receptions to the position this season. Goedert tallied six catches on seven targets in their Super Bowl meeting two seasons ago, including two red-zone receptions. He found the end zone in this year’s divisional round against Green Bay and was tackled at the nine-yard line in the NFC Championship. With his red-zone reliability, Goedert is a fantastic value pick at +1800.
Chiefs WR Justin Watson (+7000, BetMGM)
Justin Watson is a clear longshot, but sometimes those are the bets worth taking. Kansas City has a history of spreading the ball around in the Super Bowl, with players like Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kadarius Toney, and Skyy Moore all finding the endzone in the Chiefs' last two title games. While Watson may not be the top option, his speed and ability to find soft spots in coverage make him a sneaky pick at 70-1 odds.
