Kyrie Irving is getting set to play a home game for the Nets for the first time all season after the city’s vaccine mandate was adjusted, and the superstar point guard says he will also be playing home games at the Barclays Center next season.

Irving told reporters on Saturday that he plans to re-sign with the Nets this summer, when he would have a player option in which he could opt out and sign a max contract with either Brooklyn or another team. But Irving made it clear that he wants to build a legacy with the Nets, and that he wouldn’t leave fellow superstar Kevin Durant.

“There’s no way I’m leaving my man seven anywhere,” Irving said, referencing Durant’s jersey number.

The Nets’ big three has already been taken apart thanks to James Harden pushing his way out of Brooklyn and into Philadelphia, but it sounds like the star-studded duo that remained will be staying for years to come.
