Is it finally time for Cole Hamels to come home?

According to Audacy MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Phillies and Mets will be among the teams in attendance when Hamels puts on a showcase on Friday in Texas, as the 37-year-old looks to find his way onto a big-league club.

Hamels pitched just 3.1 innings last season with the Braves after signing a one-year, $18 million deal, but was productive in 2019 with the Cubs, pitching to a 3.81 ERA over 141.2 innings. He was an All-Star as recently as 2016 with the Rangers, and earned three All-Star nods with the Phillies, where he began his career back in 2006.

The Yankees will reportedly also be in attendance, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, as the Yanks’ rotation has struggled of late and is still without Corey Kluber and Luis Severino.

Sticking in the AL East, the Red Sox will also be there, according to WEEI's Rob Bradford.

The Phillies will be looking to possibly set up a reunion after Hamels pitched in Philadelphia for 10 seasons, winning NLCS and World Series MVP in 2008.
