During the Phillies second game of their series against the Colorado Rockies Tuesday night, a game that saw the Phils absolutely pummled the Rockies 10-3, Citizen Bank Park hosted dollar hot dog night.

While we didn't get to see him on his four-wheeler shooting dogs out of a cannon, the Phillie Phanatic hopped in the broadcasting booth and tossed out free links to fans in attendance. While he was giving the people of Philadelphia what they want, John Kruk somehow hurt himself in the process.

Things started off rather jovial, with the Phanatic chucking hot dogs out of the NBC Sports Philadelphia broadcast booth with the fans loving every moment--that's until Kruk hit his head on an object.

“Oh gosh,” Kruk said. “I think I mighta gashed my head open!”

If you look to the right of the video, Kruk was bending over in his chair before hitting his head on what appears to be an NBC Sports sign. His partner Tom McCarthy noticed Kruk was seeing birds and made a rather astute and funny observation over what just happened to the former Phillies' first baseman.

“Not that many people get hurt in the hot dog toss!” McCarthy said.

However, after looking dazed and confused for a second, Kruk placed a hot dog hat over his injury while he continued to grumble about the injury, how it occurred and what sucks the most; having a concussion AND running out of hot dogs. Twitter loved every moment of it.

The consummate professional.
