Schwindel proceeded to toss up one of the slowest pitches in MLB history, and Yankees catcher Kyle Higashioka took him yard to left field to give New York its final run in an eventual 18-4 win. The 35.1-mph lob ball was the slowest MLB pitch ever measured to get hit for a home run, according to Codify Baseball.

Schwindel got through the remainder of the inning without allowing a run, allowing one other hit. The Cubs have now lost six straight to drop to 23-36.

The Cubs lost 8-0 to the Yankees on Saturday, when New York homered six times.
