Week 1 of the NFL season is upon us and Femi Abebefe of You Better You Bet joined BetQL Daily to discuss how he is betting on the Cardinals’ matchup against the Bills in Week 1.
And he compared this year’s Cardinals team to another franchise in years past.
“I think Arizona is one of the more interesting teams in the league,” Abebefe said. “And I’ve kind of likened them a little bit to the Detroit Lions from a couple years ago. I think there was that year where everyone was kind of in on Detroit and people wanted to be bullish on that team … I think the struggles will happen really early on in the season.”
But when it comes to betting on Arizona in Week 1, he’s leaning more in the direction of the Bills.
“In this game against the Bills, if this (the line) keeps dropping, at some point I’m going to have to step in and lay it with Buffalo. I get that Buffalo has their concerns, with no more Stefon Diggs … But Buffalo is a team that is built on two tight ends.”
“Now you’re going to be worried about backdoor Kyler Murray because that’s his specialty whenever he’s a big underdog,” he continued. “But at some point, like this was seven earlier this offseason, I understand that. But people taking six, and maybe even 5.5, that’s where I think it’s a little too much on the Cardinals side.”
The Cardinals are currently +6 underdogs against the Bills at BetMGM.
“At this point with the current prices, it’s Buffalo or pass,” he said. “I’ll wait to see how low we go and maybe I’ll lay the Bills between now and kickoff.”
