Big Will Bets: CFP Championship Recap

Ohio State dominates, Quinshon Judkins shines, but some key bets miss in the National Championship.

Welcome back to Big WIll Bets: Weekend Winners, and this is a quick recap of our bets from the National Championship game where Ohio State beat Notre Dame 34-23. It’s sad to see the season go, but don’t worry because I’m not going anywhere any time soon. More on that later, now let’s get into the picks.

WINNERS

Ohio State -9.5

Ohio State dominated this game after the first Notre Dame drive. It was clear after the Irish’s first drive that if they were going to win, it was going to take a Herculean effort and a little bit of luck. Fortunately for us, the effort was there but not the luck. The Buckeyes felt as if they were in control the entire way, and whenever they needed a big play, they got it. It was a great season for Notre Dame, but they ran into the best team in the country and they were playing their best ball. Also, thank goodness that stupid FG missed in the 4th quarter. That was almost really bad for us.

Quinshon Judkins TD (+100)

This was such an easy hit that Judkins did it three times! Now, do I wish he could have shared a TD or two with Henderson, yes. But, Judkins has always been the low redzone back for the Buckeyes and I knew he’d get the ball multiple times with a chance to score. Glad this came home for us.

LOSERS

TreVeyon Henderson ATTD (+104)

We couldn’t get Henderson one TD, Ryan Day? NOT FREAKING ONE?! There were 4 drives that ended in the low redzone for the Buckeyes. They forced a screen pass to Jeremiah Smith for a TD, and Quinshon Judkins found the endzone on the other three drives. Henderson was so close to getting a TD, but just got ankle tackled. If only the Buckeyes had given him the ball on the goalline to reward him for all of his years of hard work.

Emeka Egbuka ATTD (+114)

The Buckeyes love using Egbuka between the 20s. Emeka had multiple catches but it never really felt like he was about to score. It felt like Ohio State knew they could win this game without taking too many risks. Knowing this, they used Egbuka as a short-to-medium route runner. He never took a shot deep, and the one time he got loose after a catch, he fumbled. Good idea to bet Egbuka, unfortunately we didn’t hit.

Jeremiyah Love ATTD (+140)

We had one real opportunity at this bet hitting, and Riley Leonard kept the football. Ohio State stacked the box and wanted to make Leonard throw the football. The Buckeyes did not believe that Leonard could beat them with his arm. They were right. This bet unfortunately was dead by the third quarter.

Conclusion

While the college football season is officially over, it doesn’t mean that these articles will stop. I will now be transitioning into college basketball betting for the rest of the college basketball season. Don’t be shocked if you see an NFL bet or two. I’m excited to get into the college hoops season, and I can’t wait to see how much money we can win! See you Friday (possibly Saturday).
