It feels like the sun is finally shining after the rain as there is a refreshing level of optimism around the Red Sox heading into this season.
So it now doesn’t feel that crazy to say the Red Sox are going to win the World Series.
But that bet (+2000 at BetMGM) is not the only Red Sox future I like for the team this year.
I kind of like all of them.
Red Sox to win the AL East I LOVE at +400. With the offseason moves they made, including bringing in Alex Bregman, they are actually playoff contenders this year to the point where missing the postseason would be a disappointment. And I believe they can win more games than both the Yankees and Orioles.
Also, if you like the Red Sox to win the division and the Yankees to come in second, that exact order is +250.
As I do expect the Red Sox to win the World Series of course, I also have them winning the American League and you can get that at +1000.
I had one former Red Sox pitcher to win the NL Cy Young last year, that being Chris Sale, and that worked out well and now I’m taking a current Red Sox pitcher to win AL Cy Young in Garrett Crochet. He is second on the list of odds at +500 behind only Tarik Skubal at +350. Crochet struck out 209 batters last season, a career high, and he won AL Comeback Player of the Year after returning from Tommy John surgery. And it seems like he’s very happy already on his new team, as he told the Baseball Isn’t Boring podcast, Boston is “a place you want to spend your entire career and you can win right away, it’s kind of the best of everything."
I expect great things from the Red Sox this season and it’s exciting that this team is once again genuinely worth betting on (especially when it comes to winning the World Series).
