Mock Draft Season is upon us and this year’s NFL Draft has the potential for some fascinating scenarios.
Cam Ward is favored to go as the No. 1 pick with -210 odds at BetMGM. But is it possible a situation could occur where another quarterback is taken first? Shedeur Sanders perhaps? PJ Glasser thinks there is potential, as he explained on Send It In.
“If a team is going to trade with Tennessee for the first overall pick, it’s likely going to be a team that needs a quarterback, right?," Glasser said. "If Tennessee’s going to trade with the team, it’s likely going to be the Giants at No. 3. It’s likely going to be the Raiders at No. 6. It may be even the Jets at No. 7, potentially. It feels like the Giants and the Raiders are the most two likely trade partners. And if those teams trade up, they’re not getting Travis Hunter … They’re going after a quarterback … This is one of those years where there is not a clearcut, No. 1 quarterback prospect. To me, the value is on Shedeur Sanders.”
The odds for Sanders to go at No. 1 are at +1300 at BetMGM, while Travis Hunter at +1000 and Abdul Carter at +180 are between Sanders and Ward on the odds list.
