Week 4 of the NFL season brings us a high-stakes Thursday Night Football matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants. Both teams have dynamic playmakers on offense, making player props an exciting betting angle. Malik Nabers, Devin Singletary, and CeeDee Lamb headline our top prop bets for the game, each poised for standout performances in this NFC East showdown. We’ll dive into why Nabers is set to exploit a shaky Cowboys defense, why Singletary's rushing potential is a must-bet, and how Lamb could thrive in a pivotal bounce-back spot. Let’s break down the key prop bets to consider for Thursday’s primetime action.
Giants WR Malik Nabers Over 70.5 Receiving Yards (-110, BetMGM)
Nabers is off to an historic start with the Giants and became the first player in NFL history with at least 20 receptions and three touchdown catches in his first three career games. He ranks 2nd in the NFL in receptions (23), 5th in receiving yards (271) and leads the league with 12.3 targets per game. With five catches of 25-plus yards (1st) and 131 yards after the catch (6th), Nabers already looks like a generational talent. To highlight that further, he ranks 1st in all of the following stats vs. press coverage (per CBS Sports’ Jacob Gibbs): 40% target per route run, 23% first-down per route run and 4.47 yards per route run.
Now in the national spotlight, I expect Nabers to ball out on Thursday Night Football and torch a Cowboys defense that allowed 44 points to the Saints and 28 points to the Ravens on back-to-back weeks.
Giants RB Devin Singletary To Score An Anytime TD (-115, FanDuel)
The Ravens have an elite rushing offense, but they put up 274 rushing yards against this Cowboys defense on Sunday, including 151 from Derrick Henry, who scored two touchdowns. Baltimore scored three rushing touchdowns against Dallas, just like the Saints did the week before. With that being said, I naturally love Singletary’s upside as New York’s starting running back.
Singletary is the clear RB1 on this Giants offense and has scored a touchdown in back-to-back weeks. Coming off a season-high 20 touches in Sunday’s win over the Browns, he’s been trusted with 14, 17 and 20 touches while playing 70%, 79% and 68% of the snaps. Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Eric Gray might get a few combined more carries than usual due to the short week, but it’s very hard not to like Singletary’s touchdown upside in this matchup.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb Over 6.5 Receptions (+100, BetRivers)
At 1-2, the Cowboys find themselves in a tough early spot now having to face their rivals on the road. Lamb has recorded just five, four and four receptions on 10, seven and seven targets in his first three games, but those came in tough matchups against the Browns, Saints and Ravens. The last time he faced the Giants, he caught 11 of 14 targets for 151 yards and a touchdown and even rushed once for 14 yards and another score.
I don’t see that happening again, but I certainly think he’s going to be peppered with targets from Dak Prescott, especially after very publicly and openly arguing with coaches and Prescott on the sidelines last game when he felt he should have gotten the ball more. This is an awesome buy-low opportunity for one of the best wideouts in the NFL.
Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott Over 26.5 Rushing Yards (-110, BetMGM)
Elliott has recorded 42+ rushing yards in each of his 13 career appearances against the Giants and even though his snap rates have declined from 51% to 40% to 19%, I think we’re going to see the Cowboys try to establish the run using him in a two-headed attack with Rico Dowdle. Anytime a player has done something 13 consecutive times, you should at least consider betting to keep the streak alive, right?!
The Giants have allowed 107.0 rushing yards per game to opposing running backs (tied for 9th-most in the NFL), and after back-to-back duds, this is a buy-low spot that I want to take on a guy who is coming closer and closer to the end of his career. This is his opportunity to make a statement and not only did Mike McCarthy hint that the Cowboys need to run the football more, but that Zeke’s lack of carries was due to the game script over the last couple weeks.
Giants TE Theo Johnson Over 1.5 Receptions (-130, DraftKings)
Assuming that Daniel Jones is going to be under some pressure and Malik Nabers is going to receive attention from Dallas’ defense, I’m very high on Johnson, who can serve as a security blanket on quick passes at tight end. Playing 86%, 79% and 81% of offensive snaps in New York’s three games so far, Johnson has a firm grip on the TE1 role above Chris Manhertz and Daniel Bellinger and even though the rookie hasn’t had a two-catch game yet, he had four targets in Week 1 and three in Week 3, so he hasn’t been completely ignored. Opposing tight ends have caught 3.3 of 4.3 targets for 35.3 yards per game against Dallas so far.
