For the second straight week, the NFL is giving us a Monday Night Football doubleheader, this time featuring the Dolphins vs. Titans and Lions vs. Seahawks. With twice the action, DraftKings DFS contests offer a wealth of opportunities to create a winning lineup. Whether you're deciding between quarterbacks or looking for value at the skill positions, we've got you covered. In this article, we break down the best DFS picks for Monday’s games, highlighting a key player at every position that offers great value and strong upside. Let’s dive into the top picks to maximize your chances of cashing in on the Week 4 MNF doubleheader.
Seahawks QB Geno Smith ($5,900)
This is obviously a choice between Smith and Jared Goff, although there is a strong argument that Smith has been the better quarterback thus far. He ranks fourth in passing yards and eighth in QBR while Goff lags behind in both categories. Smith has also completed close to 75% of his passes while Goff is at a more modest 66% with more interceptions than touchdowns through three games. Granted, Smith has thrown a few picks himself and has just three touchdown passes. But he’s been a little more consistent and reliable than Goff over the first three weeks of the season.
Lions RB David Montgomery ($6,400)
You can’t go wrong with either Detroit running back, but Montgomery brings more value because he’s a little cheaper and a safer bet to score a touchdown. Montgomery has found the end zone in all three of Detroit’s games this season, as the Lions appear to trust him more near the goal line. He’s also rushed for over 90 yards in two of his three games. Jahmyr Gibbs has been productive too and offers a little more as a pass-catcher. However, Montgomery is likely to get more carries and more opportunities near the end zone, giving him more DFS value than his backfield partner right now.
Lions WR Jameson Williams ($5,600)
In addition to being Detroit’s No. 2 receiver, Williams is an ideal pick for a DFS lineup’s No. 2 receiver. While he was a non-factor last week in Arizona, Williams showcased his big-play ability during the first two weeks of the season. He caught a pass for 50 yards or more in each of the first two games, so he can score a handful of fantasy points quickly. With his speed, Williams is a threat to gain chunk yardage or reach the end zone every time he touches the ball. That gives him a high ceiling on Monday.
Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith ($3,300)
Frankly, there isn’t a good tight end option on Monday. Both Sam LaPorta and Noah Fant have battled injuries early in the season, leading to inconsistent numbers. That means neither is worth the money required to select them in a DFS game. That means Smith is the most reasonable choice among tight ends playing on Monday. He’s bound to get at least a few targets regardless of who’s playing quarterback for Miami. If the Dolphins have to resort to a more conservative attack with shorter passes, Smith could end up playing a key role in the offense.
D/ST Dolphins ($3,200)
Both the Dolphins and Titans are viable options on Monday, but Miami facing Will Levis is what makes the Dolphins the better choice. Even if the Dolphins are using a backup quarterback, they still have some excellent playmakers. The Titans, on the other hand, are hamstrung by having Levis at quarterback. He’s taken 15 sacks and thrown five interceptions in three games while showing questionable decision-making skills. That should allow the Miami defense to collect a few turnovers, making the Dolphins the most valuable DFS defense on Monday night.
