Jahan Dotson -- a star wide receiver with multiple local ties -- declared for the NFL Draft Tuesday.
The 21-year-old, who accumulated 2,757 receiving yards in four seasons at Penn State, announced Tuesday that he's entering the NFL Draft:
Additionally, Dotson -- who caught 91 passes for 1,182 yards and 12 touchdown passes in 2021 -- will not play when Penn State takes on Arkansas in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day.
In their November ranking of the top eligible draft prospects, The Draft Network ranked Dotson as the No. 16 overall prospect at any position in the 2022 class. Dotson will join Allen Robinson II, Chris Godwin and KJ Hamler as notable former Penn State wide receivers in the NFL.
Before his time at Penn State, Dotson starred for the Nazareth Blue Eagles at the high school level. Like Saquon Barkley -- another former Penn State star -- Dotson will be a Lehigh Valley product in the NFL.
