Even though Freddie Freeman moved on to join the Los Angeles Dodgers this past offseason, he and Dansby Swanson will forever be tied together in Atlanta Braves history as the two combined to record the final out in the 2021 World Series.
As it turns out, their families maintain a close relationship as well.
Ahead of the first meeting between Freeman's Dodgers and his former team, his son Charlie sprinted when he saw Swanson on the field before the game to give him a hug:
Swanson and Freeman were teammates for the past six seasons, with the two helping the Braves to win four consecutive division titles and the aforementioned World Series.
