As NFL Week 4 wraps up, Monday Night Football brings us a doubleheader featuring the Dolphins vs. Titans and Lions vs. Seahawks. This presents a prime opportunity to cash in on some exciting player prop bets. Whether it's Tyler Huntley aiming to surpass his passing yards or D.K. Metcalf looking for a big play, we've got you covered with the best value prop picks for Monday night. Here’s a breakdown of the top bets, focusing on passing and receiving yardage that could boost your betting success in the MNF doubleheader.
Dolphins QB Tyler Huntley Over 161.5 Passing Yards vs. Titans (-110, BetMGM)
With Tua Tagovailoa out and Skylar Thompson banged up, the Dolphins are going to turn to Huntley, who was just signed off of Baltimore’s practice squad. With a Pro Bowl nod in 2022 and experience stepping in for Lamar Jackson, Huntley brings versatility and playmaking ability to Miami’s offense. His dual-threat capability adds a dynamic layer to an offense that already boasts explosive weapons like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and De’Von Achane. This Tennessee defense allowed Green Bay's backup Malik Willis to rack up 202 passing yards last week and I regard Huntley as a better option with better weapons. Add in the narrative that he grew up in South Florida cheering on the Dolphins as a kid and I really like his outlook. I also don’t mind laddering this up to 200.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill Over 49.5 Receiving Yards vs. Titans (-115, BetMGM)
The beauty of this prop is that we’ve seen Hill go over this yardage on just one catch numerous times in his career due to his electric speed and playmaking ability. Coming off 24-yard and 40-yard performances, I expect him to be heavily targeted by Huntley and utilized in the screen and short yardage game early and often. This offense needs the ball to be in his hands as much as possible and I expect Mike McDaniel and his staff to create a game plan designed around getting him as many looks as humanly possible. Regardless of who is at QB, this number is simply too low for a wideout of Hill’s elite caliber.
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf Longest Reception Over 23.5 Yards vs. Lions (-115, BetMGM)
Geno Smith and Metcalf have a solid connection on deep balls as they’ve proven in back-to-back weeks when the wideout ripped off 56 and 71-yard catches. Now with Kenneth Walker III back, Detroit’s defense is going to have to respect Seattle’s run game, which should open up play-action opportunities downfield. I love OC Ryan Grubb’s offense and I’ll auto-bet this until it gets closer to 30 yards. No team has allowed more targets, receptions or yards to wide receivers than the Lions through the first three weeks.
