In the audio, Kalabrya explains that she had spoken to Dwayne 10 minutes ago and he told her he was calling from the side fo the road near I-95 in Broward County, Fla. and was stranded and trying to find gas for his car.

Kalabrya said her husband was going to call her back but never did.

“I kept calling and kept calling,” she tells the officer. “He wasn’t answering. Eventually, after 10 minutes of calling the phone, eventually it cut off. It’s not working now. I had his location. I just want somebody to go in the area and see if his car is there and if he’s OK and if anything happened to him.”

The officer informed Kalabrya a few moments later that there was indeed an incident on the highway but was unable to confirm if it was her husband or not.

There was also another 911 call from a witness on the road who was clearly shaken up by the incident.

The woman tells the dispatch officer, “there was a man hit in front of me. I was travelling on the road and I saw a dump truck hit the man.”

Haskins, who was a first-round pick out of Ohio State for the Washington Commanders in 2019, was currently under contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Per TMZ Sports, an investigation by Florida police into his death remains ongoing.
