An All-Pro pass rusher may be available on the NFL trade market.
Arizona Cardinals veteran linebacker Chandler Jones has requested a trade just days before the start of training camp, per multiple reports.
Jones, 31, is on the final year of his five-year, $82.5 million contract, but is reportedly unhappy without an extension and has missed offseason work because of it.
The Cardinals, however, do not want to trade Jones and expect him to arrive in training camp on Tuesday. They believe he is excited about playing in a defense that just added J.J. Watt this offseason, per reports.

Jones is coming off a 2020 season in which he only played five games due to a biceps injury, recording just one sack.
Yet, from 2017-19, Jones established himself as one of the best pass rushers in the NFL with 49 sacks in that span. He led the league with 17 sacks in 2017 and had a career-high 19 sacks in 2019 while leading the league with eight forced fumbles — both of his All-Pro seasons.
Jones was a first-round pick out of Syracuse for the New England Patriots in 2012 and was traded to the Cardinals in 2016. He has 97 career sacks and 27 forced fumbles over his nine-year career.
