After lengthy speculation and not-so-subtle attempts to clear his cap hit, James Bradberry has been released by the Giants.
The team made the announcement on Monday afternoon, having failed to find a trade partner for the veteran cornerback.

General manager Joe Schoen told Carton and Roberts last week that he expected a resolution to be reached by the end of the week, and it was just a couple days behind schedule.
According to The Athletic, releasing Bradberry frees up $10.1 million in cap space, and leaves $11.7 million in dead money.
Bradberry, a 2020 Pro Bowler, started 31 games in two seasons with Big Blue and set a career-high with four interceptions last season. He signed a three-year, $45 million deal with $32 million guaranteed before the 2020 season.
