Jaguars rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence was asked about the drama surrounding his head coach on Wednesday.
Speaking with reporters from Jaguars practice, Lawrence took the high road when he was asked about Meyer, who apologized this week after he was caught on video dancing with a young woman at an Ohio bar -- after he'd declined to travel back home with his team following a loss to the Bengals on Thursday Night football.

"He's still my head coach," Lawrence said. "We're a team, and we'll work through this."
While it's certainly not surprising to see Lawrence play it cool here, the overall situation and apparent instability within the Jaguars can't be seen as positives for his chances of realizing his full potential.
Usually, it's the head coach who is made to speak out when a young player has caused a distraction. In this case, the roles are reversed. But Lawrence seemed unperturbed, at least in his comments.
"I think he’s done right by us,” Lawrence said, per Pro Football Talk. “And we’re a team and we’re sticking together. Just because something happens that puts a little stress on it, that doesn’t mean you give up and just go your separate ways. You figure it out and work through it. So that’s what we’re doing and I feel good about our team. Nothing’s changed. We’re still really tight. So we’re just looking forward to playing the Titans this weekend and getting back on track.”
The embarrassing scene transpired after Meyer had remained in his home state of Ohio, ostensibly to visit with friends and family, following the Jaguars' loss to the Bengals on Thursday Night Football last week. Meyer later told reporters he needed to clear his head.
Lawrence said Meyer's skipping the team flight didn't strike him as unusual, owing to his lack of experience in the NFL.
The rookie head coach reportedly apologized to his players and team owner Shahid Khan over the incident, reportedly calling himself "an a--hole idiot." Khan said Meyer needed to regain the trust of the organization.
The timing couldn't be worse for the reeling Jags.
The loss to the Bengals dropped the Jaguars to 0-4 on the season, and marked their 20th consecutive defeat, a drought dating back to Week 2 of last season.
The Jags will attempt to stave off a potential record-tying 21st consecutive loss in Week 5, against the division-rival Tennessee Titans.
