The celebrations are fully underway in The Bay Area after the Golden State Warriors managed to capture their fourth NBA title in the last eight seasons, beating the Boston Celtics in convincing fashion to close out the series.
The undoubted leader of the roster, Steph Curry, finally got the monkey off his back by winning his first Finals MVP award--silencing many critics in the process after he failed to win the award during the Warriors' previous three championship runs.
During an interview on The Morning Roast on 95.7 The Game following the historic night, Dubs GM Bob Myers called into the show where he believes that winning his first Finals MVP award leaves nothing left for Curry's detractors to complain about.

"There's nothing left to say," Myers told Bonata and Shasky in an early morning interview. "What are they gonna say now? We joked, I said you know what they're going to say Steph, they're going to say you never scored 100 points in a game. I mean how do you not root for this guy, what is the problem with people."
Myers added that a bulk of the criticism Curry receives is a result of the world we currently live in where accomplished people have to continually prove themselves despite what their accolades may indicate.
"Why is he having to prove and reprove, but you know what, that's the world we live in and he answered the bell. If it's about an MVP in the Finals, fine, got that now. If it's about winning without other players, I don't know what it's about really. I mean what else, four championships in eight years, MVPs. I just think he plays to play and I don't think he gets caught up in that stuff but that stuff is powerful and he has a lot of pride. It's just a blessing to walk through a career with him."
The two-time MVP has certainly silenced some of the haters, reiterating a lot of what Meyers said during a mic'd up moment during the Dubs' post-game celebration in the locker room.
"Champs baby! What are they are gonna say now?! What are they gonna say now?!"
One man, whose name holds a lot of cache in the NBA world, thinks that with his fourth NBA title, Curry's name should be mentioned in the "GOAT" conversation and be put into a category of his own.
"Steph Curry is the greatest shooter of all time," Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal said in an interview on 92.9 The Game. "So, he's definitely a top player. I don't get into the, ' Oh he's number 3, 4 or 5. It's different eras of greatness in basketball, so it would be unfair to move another guy, but he's definitely in the building, he's definitely at the table."
