Draymond Green and Kevin Durant continued their back-and-forth about his decision to leave the Golden State Warriors on social media following comments Green made on a podcast.

After the Brooklyn Nets star tweeted that what his former teammate said was “100% false,” Green fired back that Durant ought to “learn to listen to full takes and not snippets before you get baited into tweeting Champ.”

Durant was responding to a tweet that quoted Green saying that “Steph Curry got double-teamed seven times the amount KD did in that series…the impact he has on a game, if you don’t understand basketball…you’re going to come out and say that he needs a Finals MVP to validate who he is.”

Of course, the quote and the snippet did not fully encapsulate what Green said.

The Warriors center also spoke about how Durant was “absolutely incredible” in those Finals (he won the MVP each time) and that the reason he thought Durant leaving was a mistake was because the Warriors allowed Durant to just go out and play basketball, “which is what Kevin loves to do.”

After Green told Durant to listen to the whole thing, Durant replied that he indeed did and his objection was about Curry being double-teamed “seven times” the amount he was.

Perhaps this is the end of it, but Green and Durant are two guys who do not tend to back down, especially if they believe the point they are making is right.
