Fresh off his beef with Draymond Green, Kevin Durant is now going at it with ESPN ‘First Take’ host Stephen A. Smith on Twitter.
It began on Thursday morning when Durant responded to a clip from that was posted from the “First Take” Twitter account that showed Smith arguing that Michael Jordan actually changed the NBA for the worse while Steph Curry made it better.

Durant quote tweeted taking a swipe at Smith and other hot take artists on TV, specifically Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe saying they have “changed the game for worse.”
Smith snapped back at Durant, saying they weren’t going anywhere and that there were “thousands more” of them coming.
Durant wasted no time responding, taking a clip of Smith’s own words saying, “we don’t care.”
Now, Smith was arguing that Jordan changed the game for the worse because he made it about the individual and cashed in on that, but a counterpoint is that he paved the way for other players to do the same.
Smith’s insinuation is likely that it created a selfishness among NBA players, which is certainly subjective.
But to change the game for the worse? Jordan elevated the game and his impact is stlil lasting on the sport.
Durant seems to understand that and called out the Smiths and Skips and Shannons who have used their platform to start bizarre arguments such as the aforementioned one.
So, while everyone likes to pile on Durant for his Twitter feuds, he seems to have a legitimate point.
Of course, Stephen A. won’t mind, it’s exactly the kind of reaction he was likely hoping for with this take and Durant’s response now has everyone talking about him.
