Zach Wilson finally tossed his first career touchdown pass late in the third quarter of Sunday’s Jets-Panthers game, but it came with a bittersweet coda: left tackle Mekhi Becton was helped off the field and carted off with a right knee injury.

Wilson also converted the two-point conversion on a keeper, cutting the Jets’ deficit at the time to 16-8.
