Another day, another shot at the credibility and effectiveness of Redskins General Manager Bruce Allen.
Just a day after Bruce Allen was ranked the second-worst GM in the league by Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com, Allen has been named the least trusted executive by NFL agents, according to a poll conducted by USA Today reporters Jarrett Bell and Lindsay H. Jones.
Bell joined Grant and Danny Thursday to discuss the poll.
"The thing that's striking about that (the ranking) is he's a former agent himself....he doesn't have a lot of trust in terms of agents dealing with him," Bell said. "Even in talking to people who are not agents, you ask about Bruce Allen and what people think about him and I think it was reflected in the poll."
"People will tell you situations where maybe he made promises to players or maybe he did things with negotiations that were surprising," Bell continued.
The 25 agents, who participated under the condition of anonymity, were asked a variety of questions about teams, executives and the league's issues surrounding labor relations and collective bargaining.
Allen ranked dead last in the category about which NFL execs agents trust the least. Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome ranked as the most respected GM in the league, according to the survey.
To put icing on the cake, the entire Redskins franchise showed up in another not-so-endearing portion of the poll as well. The team ranked third to last in negotiation preparedness.
