It may be easy to roll your eyes at the thought of a long-suffering Capitals fan at the ripe age of 18. Some have endured far worse for far longer.

But in light of the insanity that transpired in Las Vegas last week, it's the eyes and smile of Jack Dolge, a lifelong Washingtonian, who can help tell the story of sweet victory far better than words, analysis or yes, even keg stands.

Jack is one of those fans who talks Caps in August. His social media feeds are constant reminders of this tortured love affair while he remarkably captures -- at a relatively young age -- that perfect blend of optimism and sarcasm that is at the soul of most D.C. sports fans.

This optimism was rewarded around 11:05 ish Thursday night, and in the euphoric days that followed.

So as you endure yet another awesomely grainy and choppy celebratory video from a championship-starved city, do so through the lens of Jack, a Caps fan since birth -- who bleeds a different shade of red -- who just witnessed something timeless at a young age.
