Alex Ovechkin scored his 15th goal of these Stanley Cup Playoffs in Game 5, setting a new franchise record for goals in a single postseason.

It's yet another well-deserved accolade for the Russian, but not the ultimate goal that he has in mind.

Either way, the goal was a vintage one-timer, including a catapult action from his notably whippy stick:

This is nothing new; Ovechkin has a stick whippiness rating of 79 or 80 out of 100, which makes it one of the more flexible in the NHL. It's only fitting that in the biggest game of his life, he scores a record-breaking goal in a way that only he can.
