The NHL has announced Game 1 of the Capitals' second-round playoff series against the Penguins.

Puck drops at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 at Capital One Arena.

Unfortunately for the Caps, that puts the start of the series smack-dab against the first round of the NFL Draft. Fortunately for the Caps, the draft begins at 8 p.m., and with the Redskins picking at No. 13 (barring a trade out of that spot), there shouldn't be much competition for local TV viewership for the majority of Game 1.

The Caps are coming off a whirlwind turnaround in the first round. After going down 0-2 at home to the Blue Jackets, Washington won four straight to eliminate Columbus and advance.

This coming series marks the 11th meeting between the Capitals and Penguins in the playoffs. While times/dates aren't yet announced for the rest of the series, the Caps, by virtue of home-ice advantage, will host Games 1 and 2, and, if necessary, Games 5 and 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal.

You can listen to Game 1 on 106.7 The Fan.

Tickets for the series are on sale now at WashingtonCaps.com.
