BMitch reacts to the Jets firing Robert Saleh…and yup, of course he blames Aaron Rodgers

Robert Saleh is out as the head coach of the New York Jets…and yeah, as you might have expected, Brian Mitchell has his reasons why.

“He got fired because Aaron Rodgers threw three interceptions; he got fired because Aaron Rodgers decided not to come to camp because he had something else playing right when we were gonna go to camp; he got fired because Aaron Rodgers decides that he doesn't want to have his coach talk to him so he shoved him off,” BMitch said. “That man is a megalomaniac; he thinks everything is about him and he thinks he's untouchable, but the whole thing is the Jets are gonna do just what the Jets normally do: they're gonna crash. Aaron is not gonna help them out. I told you, I don't like the dude, and it's not about his football – it’s because he's an ass, point blank, and this has proven that.”

It’s not a secret that BMitch is not a fan of Rodgers, and even as JP Finlay admits there has to be more than anyone is aware of (especially at the time of the announcement), Rodgers being involved in some way is also not out of the question.

“We see where Aaron Rodgers is all the time. This guy is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the history of football, and the Packers couldn't wait to get rid of his ass,” BMitch said. “Now this happens, all of a sudden, and when he finally tells Woody Johnson where to go, then he’s gonna decide that he can't deal with him either and he'll let him go as well.”

“Whether it’s water-carrying or not, and it probably is, there will be some stories out of Florham Park about the stuff Saleh was doing that players didn't like, or other coaches didn't like, or the front office or whatever it is,” Finlay said. “Saleh is a defensive head coach, and the last three years their defense has been top five in yards allowed; this year they’re second in yards allowed and fifth in points allowed, and they're siding with the guy that just threw three picks, including a pick-six and another pick late in the game when you're driving to win against the Vikings.”

Yup, and now, it’s the Aaron Rodgers Show, co-starring new interim head coach/DC Jeff Ulbrich, who may have been the choice by default because unknown is better than Nathaniel Hackett.

“You go down with the bus, and that's what they've done.
They’re going down with the guy that they brought in and did whatever he wanted,” BMitch said. “Saleh didn't want Aaron Rodgers, and we know that Woody Johnson wanted Aaron Rodgers, and this happens. We lived it here in DC; the coach didn’t want him, but Woody forced him on him, and when you give a player that much power, you're gonna always have problems.”

“The biggest joke of this is because of Rodgers being able to demand whatever he wants. Usually if you’re firing one side, you’re promoting the other, but because Rodgers got to hand pick his own OC in Hackett, who was proven to be a complete joke as a head coach in Denver, they couldn’t promote him with a straight face,” JP Finlay said. “So, you fired the defensive head coach, who's running good defense, to promote the DC?”

Not quite…

“No, they basically just promoted the QB. He's the head coach, okay? To hell with all of that other stuff, he's the head coach,” BMitch said. “Saleh has been sitting there watching over this stuff, telling the DC what to do, so you make the DC the head coach because you know Hackett is a hack job. He’s horrible. Aaron Rodgers…can be as good as you want, but when your personality and your way screws a team up, it's time for you to go, too. Believe me, nobody's gonna miss him if another quarterback comes in there right now and starts playing better; they'll let you know what they truly feel about him. They know now you better not say nothing about Aaron, because you won't be on that football team.”
