The Washington Nationals won the MLB Draft Lottery, and should’ve picked No. 1 overall. They then won the second lottery, and could’ve picked No. 2 overall.
But, but because they were a “payor club,” aka they give revenue-sharing money, they cannot be selected in the Top 6 in consecutive lotteries, so they will select No. 10 one year after nabbing Dylan Crews second overall.
And to the Junkies, that’s just bunk.
Savannah McCann joined the guys in-studio to explain exactly how it all went down, and there is one good thing about it all, at least:
“The good news for Nats fans is that most experts consider this a down draft, so this year is a good year to not pick inside the Top 6,” Savannah revealed.
Take a listen as she explains it all, and chats a little about Shohei Ohtani’s future and more!
