WATCH: JuJu Smith-Schuster tangles with lion as part of offseason training

The soon-to-be free agent is taking on the king of the jungle this offseason

JuJu Smith-Schuster says he wants to stay in Pittsburgh, but he’ll likely command big money that the Steelers won’t be able to afford.

With so many teams likely planning on courting Smith-Schuster, he’s been keeping busy in the gym and playing tug-of-war with a very unusual partner:

A 425-pound female lion.

The 24-year-old was seen pulling a rope while the lion bit down and pulled back on her end in a video that surfaced on Tuesday of the wide receiver's unique offseason training regimen at what appeared to be a zoo or animal preserve.

The lion wasn’t messing around, either, giving JuJu a hard time and causing him to lose a few steps.

Unfortunately, the video cut off before the winner was known, but another video surfaced confirming that the lion indeed had the upper paw.

Also, if he was playing tug of war with a lion, does that mean he’s heading to Detroit?! We’re kidding…probably.
