NBA player props: 3 best bets for Tuesday, March 2

We get a light NBA slate tonight with only six games, but there are still plenty of options to choose from in the player prop pool. Even with the smaller card, there are some fun matchups, most notably, Suns-Lakers. LAL is currently favored by 2 points and the total is set to 213.5. LeBron James vs. his buddy Chris Paul in a primetime spot on TNT will be entertaining to watch.

As for today’s best NBA bets, player props are a fun way to wager on NBA games even if you don't like a side or total. I like to find matchups that I can exploit or good situations due to injuries.

Let’s dive into a couple of these scenarios now.

The BetQL model has gone 26-4 (86.7%) on 4 and 5 star NBA selections over the last 3 days. If you bet $100 on each, you'd be up $1,519 right now! Get a week of BetQL's top NBA picks for less than $10!

Ja Morant OVER 19.5 points

Morant is currently averaging 18.4 points per game (PPG) this season. He also scored just six points in his last outing, but I like the matchup in this spot.

Mortant should get plenty of opportunities, as Washington ranks 26th in defensive rating, 28th in field goals allowed and 29th in points allowed.

The Wiz also don’t have a true rim protector, so look for Morant to attack and get into the paint. Washington also gives up the second most free throw attempts per game, which should help Morant eclipse this number.

Jamal Murray OVER 3.5 made threes

I see value on this bet because of the + money. FanDuel, for example, is offering this bet at +115. As always, make sure you shop around for the best line.

Murray has gone over this mark in eight out of his last 10 games. In the two games he didn't go over, he still made three in each. He is also averaging nine three-point attempts per game during this stretch, so you know the volume will be there.

Milwaukee ranks 27th in three pointers allowed and 23rd in opponent’s three-point percentage, so he should get some clean looks.

Lastly, the total for this game is set to 235 points, which means we should see points galore. If the Nuggets want to hang around against the Bucks, Murray will need to let it fly.

LeBron James UNDER 7.5 assists

James comes into this matchup averaging 7.8 assists per game (APG), and that number has slightly dipped to 7.5 over his last ten games. LeBron has also gone under this mark in three straight games.

Tonight he faces off against a Phoenix Suns squad that is stout defensively. They rank number 1 in assists allowed, 3rd in three-pointers allowed, 4th in points allowed, and 6th in overall defensive rating.

This game also has the lowest total on the board at 213.5, which should mean the script won’t favor a lot of buckets.
