Bret Oliverio's Sup Dogs is on a revenge tour to take back the crown of Best Bar in America and could sure use your help.
For those of you who need a refresher, Bret and his amazing wife Jenny left their entire lives behind in D.C. — including Bret's career as Executive Producer of The Sports Junkies, a role he absolutely adored — when his little brother, proud founder of Sup Dogs, Derek Oliverio, tragically died in 2011 trying to save his two dogs from his burning home. Bret and Jenny dropped everything and moved to Greenville, North Carolina, learning the restaurant business from the ground up to maintain Derek's legacy.
Not only did they thrive, their success with Sup Dogs allowed them to open a second location in Chapel Hill and, eventually, to twice be recognized as the Best Bar in America by Barstool Sports and its legion of supporters.

Yes, Sup Dogs won Barstool's Best Bar tournament in 2019 and 2020, but shamefully never got to celebrate their repeat with those who helped get them there because of, you know, that once-in-a-hundred years pandemic that overtook the entire world. Totally fair, right?
Ask yourself: What is a Super Bowl victory without hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in front of your adoring fans?
What about this? Does this seem fair?
That's why Sups is running it back. That's why you need to help push Sups over the finish line on its Revenge Tour.
Besides, Miami of Ohio is where Ben Roethlisberger came from. Do you really want to support that?
How can I help?
The most important thing is to vote on Twitter TODAY (and your account cannot be private or your vote won't count). You must tweet the hashtag #BestBarSupDogs by Thursday, April 14 at 8 p.m. This is the championship round of the tournament. There are no do-overs.
Secondly, whether for your son, your daughter, your nieces and nephews, yourself or whoever, you can buy a t-shirt or crewneck sweatshirt for extra votes. Each tee purchased registers and additional seven votes for Sup Dogs and each crewneck registers an additional nine votes for Sups.
Need more motivation?
How can you let these kind-hearted Sup Pups down?

Or these? Do you really want to break their hearts?

No? Then vote #BestBarSupDogs!

Sup Dogs recently put on its 11th annual Doggie Jams, an outdoor music festival first started by Derek. This year's featured act was none other than DJ Diesel — also known as four-time NBA champion Shaq.
Growing each year with Bret booking bigger and bigger acts, Doggie Jams has outgrown the Sup Dogs parking lot and had to be held at an alternative outdoor venue this year. Bret donated all of the profits from beer and liquor sales (approx. $70,000) to a local nonprofit.
Do the right thing. Hop on Twitter and vote #BestBarSupDogs so these kids can finally have the championship celebration they deserve.
Be like Shaq and wrap your long arms around Sup Dogs one good time. You might be surprised at how good it feels.
